# Place Type

### Create a new Place Type

To create a new Place Type, please navigate to **Place > Place Type** in the left sidebar. Now you can start adding specific information about the Place Type Item in the fields data section below:

**Name:** Enter the name of the place type.

**Slug:** The “slug” is the URL-friendly version of the name. It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.

**Parent Place Type:** select parent amenity if needed. Usually, you don’t need to do it.

After completing all the necessary fields, click on the "**Add New Place Type**" button.
