# Room Type

### Create a new Room Type <a href="#create-a-new-place-type" id="create-a-new-place-type"></a>

To create a new Place Type, please navigate to **Rooms > Room Type** in the left sidebar. Now you can start adding specific information about the Room Type Item in the fields data section below:

**Name:** Enter the name of the room type.

**Slug:** The “slug” is the URL-friendly version of the name. It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.

**Parent Room Type:** select parent amenity if needed. Usually, you don’t need to do it.
