# Customer Contact

You can use email or SMS to build relationships with your customers in your store. Customers will receive notification orders, and shipping by email or SMS

### Steps:

1. From your Shopify Admin, go to Settings -> **Checkout and accounts.**
2. For **Customer account method**, choose **Phone number or email/ Email**.
3. Click **Save.**
